What is the difference between "standard of living" and "quality of life"?

All of people have different opinions about the high quality of life. In my opinion, standard of living is about material goods and money. On the other hand, quality of life is about spiritual matters or happiness. People cannot judge which is exactly right for the high quality of life because it only depends on their opinions.

I have spent most of my life in Korea. A few months ago, I read a news article about the standard of living in Korea. In the news article, Korean’s quality of life is increasing. However, the rank of happiness is on the decrease because most Koreans spend too much time to work in a day. When I was in Korea, my friends spend over nine hours in a day that they did not have enough time to enjoy their life and take a rest. Therefore, my friends bought a lot of material goods and saved money instead of taking rest. I wasn’t sure that they had enough happiness in their lives.

In conclusion, in my opinion, the quality of life may not secure a supply. Because the high quality of life is that welfare and the rank of happiness have a bigger meaning than money in my subjective point of view.

The Trumpet of Conscience

In this speech "The Trumpet of Conscience," Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. described that he could not become silent because he concerned that the hopes of poor people ravaged in the war. He explained that people live in poverty, Black people and white people were destroyed. What's more, Whte and Black died together on TV screen, even though they could not go to same schools. He struggled for equality for Black, and his speech was against the violence  of suppression for the people and the government. He worked a long time against segregation in the world because he mentioned that Justice could not be divisible.
